Figure Sketching techniques for rendering and painting

In this intensive 3 hour Figure Sketching technique workshop I will be demonstrating a method I use to accurately render proportion, movement and emotion in the figure. This method is also applicable for drawing inanimate objects.

What you can expect:
I will begin with a demonstration and explanation of my technique
We will be drawing 30 minute poses down to 5 minutes from the clothed live figure throughout the lesson
We will begin drawing with dry medium (charcoal, pastel, conté, pencil) on newsprint
In the last hour we will be painting onto canvas using acrylic or oil
I will spend time with every one of you on an individual basis

A stand up easel
Large Newsprint pad, and a board and clips to put on the easel
Dry medium of your choice (charcoal, pastel, conté, soft graphite pencils)
