10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Gabriola Arts and Heritage Centre
Here is the drawing workshop many of you have been asking for!
Using my own unique method, you will learn to draw stick-figures and evolve them into expressive, lively characters. I will show you that you can capture the essence of a person using no details and can have a lot of fun as you develop or improve your drawing skills. These ideas can be applied to cartooning, realism, Impressionism, even sculpture. (Sign up to find out!)
This workshop is for you if any of the following apply to you:
1. You’ve almost never or have never drawn and want to learn to draw the most difficult thing in a very fun way. (Is there any other way???)
2. You can draw, yet your figures look stiff and robotic. (Easy fix!)
3. You draw figures fairly well, it takes forever and then something is off. (It still happens, but not as often!)
This workshop is NOT for you if:
1. You draw or paint landscapes, urban landscapes or cars and trucks and boats – unless they have figures in them of course!
11×14 paper drawing pad (recycled if you can)
an assortment of HB, B, 2B, 3B graphite pencils
an eraser (not pink!)
